Another triumph for justice!
Yesterday, November 23, the trumped-up cases against Ken Rementilla and Jasmin Rubia have also been dismissed by the Antipolo City Prosecutor’s Office, following the recent success with Hailey Pecayo’s junked cases.
This recent development is crucial in exposing the lies perpetrated by the NTF ELCAC and Anti-Terror Council. The decision to dismiss these cases based on a lack of evidence reinforces the fact that defending human rights and advocating for pro-people campaigns are not terrorism, as opposed to the baseless accusations of the fearmonger military.
In the spirit of this triumph, we call on all human rights advocates and democracy-loving groups to intensify the call for the junking of similar false charges against progressive organizations and individuals. Let us unite against these attacks on the people’s rights and continue to amplify our collective voice against the Anti-Terror Act.
