RECENT FORUM

On April 28, 2025, as part of the Global Day of Action across the Asia-Pacific, various human rights and self-determination advocates mobilized and held protests to condemn the ongoing US-PH Balikatan Exercises in the Philippines. Various groups called on their respective governments to stop supporting the U.S.-Philippines Balikatan Exercises and to refrain from providing any form of military assistance to the Philippines. Such support has been used to target ordinary citizens and activists under the guise of counterinsurgency programs, further fueling human rights violations across the country.
Today, the Philippines concludes the US-PH Balikatan Exercises, but our condemnation and resistance to any unjust treaties between the United States and the Philippines, whether economic or military, will not end. The fight against foreign intervention and militarization continues, alongside our call for genuine respect for Philippine sovereignty. We remain steadfast in our demand for an independent foreign policy that upholds the rights, dignity, and welfare of the Filipino people.
