On this day of mourning and rage…
We remember 4/19 (April 19) —a day marked by violence, where 19 lives were massacred by the fascist Armed Forces in the Philippines (AFP) in Barangay Salamanca, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
We grieve for the lives of Negros 19—youth, journalists, cultural workers, advocates, activists, and comrades. Their struggle lives on in our resistance, in our unyielding call for justice, and in our commitment to international solidarity.
We rage against the AFP and the Marcos Jr. regime.
We condemn, in the strongest terms, the killing of civilians and the blatant violations of human rights.
We denounce the intensified militarization in Negros and across the countryside.
For the Negros 19, we demand justice.
For the Negros 19, we demand accountability.
4/19: We will not forget.
For the 19: We will not be silent.
